Georgia Stuns Spain in Limassol at EuroBasket 2025

Georgia surprised everyone in the opening round of the EuroBasket 2025 group stage, crushing Spain with an impressive 83-69 victory at the «Spyros Kyprianou» arena in Limassol.

Aleksandar Džikić's team, with Toko Shengelia present, has set a strong foundation for qualifying in Group C. Mamukelashvili led the way with 19 points, followed by Bitadze (15 points), Shengelia (13 points), and Baldwin (14 points).

For Spain, Panathinaikos forward Juancho Hernangómez scored 13 points, with Aldama and Brizuela adding 12 and 11 points respectively.

At 18:15, Cyprus faces Bosnia, and at 21:30, Greece plays Italy. Both games are broadcast on Alpha Cyprus.
