The Minister of Education, Athena Michaelidou, described the sexist comment she received from the President of OELMEK as 'disappointing.' Speaking on the 'Alpha Information' show, she stated that Mr. Taliadoros had not contacted her after the incident, but many other educators and OELMEK officials had communicated via messages.

Ms. Michaelidou emphasized that 'there is no place for sexism in the field of education' and expressed concern that there has been no apology from the President of OELMEK.

Referring to the issue in general, the Minister of Education noted that education is the place where reaction against stereotypes is cultivated. Answering a question about underestimation towards her person, Ms. Michaelidou stated that 'everyone is judged by their work' and that 'we should not resort to such comments.'

Finally, commenting on the Ministry's handling of a complaint against an executive, she rejected allegations of cover-up, assuring that all due procedures were followed.
