Vangelis Marinakis: Mourning at his mother Irene Marinakis' funeral

The funeral of Irene Marinakis, mother of Vangelis Marinakis, took place today in a moving atmosphere at the Church of Agios Nikolaos in Piraeus. Irene Marinakis passed away on December 15.

A large crowd and personalities, such as Antonis Samaras and Sissy Christidou, were present to bid farewell to the deceased. Wreaths were sent by, among others, PAOK FC, Orama Elpidas, and Nikos Anastasiadis.

Irene Marinakis was the wife of Miltiadis Marinakis, a well-known figure in the Greek shipping industry.
