Serres: Volunteers Care for Stray Dogs

In Serres, two volunteers, a mother and daughter, have dedicated the last 11 years to rescuing stray dogs. They house 20 puppies in a specially designed area, providing them with care and medical attention.
Foteini Kosmopoulou and Dimitra Chatzikostantinou founded the "Volunteer Animal Welfare Association 'O Spithas'" in 2024. All dogs are vaccinated, neutered, chipped, and dewormed.
The accommodation area has houses made of durable materials and a special shed, as well as an outdoor play area. The volunteers also care for stray dogs on the street, offering food and medical assistance when needed.
The volunteers fight for animal rights and report cases of abuse. They need food, medicine, houses, and blankets. Those who wish to help can contact Ms. Foteini Kosmopoulou at 6981.352.380.
