Renos Evaggelakis: 'I had a 50-50 chance of living' – A shocking car accident story

Renos Evaggelakis' life changed dramatically after a car accident during his military service. As he recalls, the next thing he realized was being in the hospital, after the serious accident.

Renos suffered severe head trauma and left hemiplegia. Doctors gave him a 50% chance of survival, with the risk of serious mental problems or speech difficulties. 'I had a tracheostomy... I was in danger of never speaking again,' he says.

Despite the difficulties, he managed to recover. From this experience, he wrote a book: 'It describes my life from birth, the adventure of the accident, the successful and unsuccessful surgeries, but also my psychological collapse and finally my rebirth.'

Today, Renos Evaggelakis sends a message: 'Pay attention to the mistakes of others mainly. Predict their movements so you don't get caught off guard'.
