Fire at Illegal Dump Site in Alambra Under Control

A fire that broke out at an illegal waste disposal site in Alambra has been brought under control by firefighting forces.

According to an announcement by the Department of Forests, the fire started at 14:40 in the “Kountourka” location and was brought under control at 15:00.

The fire burned 2 decares of land, covered with low wild vegetation and debris.

The extinguishing operation involved 6 people from the Department of Forests with 2 fire trucks, as well as 5 people from the Fire Service with 2 fire trucks.
