Nektarios Alexandrou: "The first hug with Archer lasted 20 minutes"

To mark World Stray Animals Day, HELLO! contacted Nektarios Alexandrou and Giota Papadopoulou, who adopted stray animals from the SIMBA Animal Aid Cyprus shelter.

Nektarios Alexandrou spoke about his experience with Archer: "My first contact with Archer was through Simba's Instagram profile. I saw him and contacted the shelter. The next day I went to see him in person. I held him in my arms for about 20 minutes. I asked them to get him ready and the next day I went to pick him up."

SIMBA Animal Aid Cyprus is a Non-Profit Organization that manages the Temporary Shelter for Stray Dogs in Palaiometocho, in collaboration with the Municipalities of the Nicosia District. The shelter houses more than 120 dogs. The goal is to find families for adoption and to avoid the killing of animals.

The shelter needs support to cover the needs for food, veterinary expenses and operating expenses. Donations of items or financial assistance are welcome.
