MC Media Establishes "Day of Truth" Against Disinformation

MC Media is establishing a "Day of Truth" on March 19th, an initiative to combat disinformation and promote responsible reporting.

Amidst heightened tensions in the Middle East and with Cyprus at the center of fake news, MC Media, the largest online news organization in Cyprus, aims to raise public awareness about fake news.

As part of the "Day of Truth," the Group's digital media will feature special tributes and analyses. Advertising banners will be replaced by information messages against disinformation. The results of a survey on citizens' attitudes towards fake news will also be presented.

The day will culminate in a public event on March 19, 2026 at 18:00 at the Panos Solomonides Hall in Limassol, on journalism in the age of artificial intelligence, with the participation of Ben Reininga, Fellow of Harvard University and Vice President of POLITICO.

MC Media aspires to establish March 19th as an annual institution, promoting truth and responsibility in information dissemination.
