The Commissioner for Administration and Human Rights Protection, Maria Stylianou-Lottidi, has published a report regarding visits to the closed Therapeutic Communities of Agia Skepi. The report states that the communities operate with respect for human dignity and in accordance with international standards for the protection of human rights.

The report finds a high level of care, professionalism, and respect for the rights of residents in the Therapeutic Communities of Agia Skepi. The effort to create space for vulnerable groups, such as pregnant women and trans individuals, is noted.

However, concerns are raised about potential prejudice from public school teachers towards children of the Adolescent Therapeutic Community. The Commissioner recommends that the Ministry of Education take measures to prevent such phenomena.

In addition, the need for stable financial support from the Ministry of Health to the Adult Therapeutic Community is emphasized, as well as the completion of expansion work to accommodate vulnerable groups.

The report is submitted to the Ministers of Education and Health, as well as to the Clinical Director of Agia Skepi and the Addiction Treatment Authority.
