The National Bioethics and Technoethics Committee (EEBT) is calling for measures to curb teen gambling addiction. The Committee highlights the alarming increase in cases of addiction to betting and games of chance among adolescents.

In its recommendation, the EEBT emphasizes the need to limit the advertising of legal gambling applications when the recipients are teenagers. It also proposes special user identification measures to prevent access by minors.

The EEBT proposes specific measures, such as regulating advertising on radio and television stations, establishing terms for online advertising, informing adolescents in schools about the risks of addiction, and utilizing Gov Wallet for user authentication. Additionally, it is proposed to limit the use of prepaid cards.
