The Prisons Department has denied claims regarding living and hygiene conditions at Central Prisons, particularly in the women's wing. In a statement, the Prisons Department said that the quality and quantity of food are satisfactory, overseen by professional cooks, and subject to regular health inspections.

The Prisons Department also rejected claims of finding a mouse, cockroach, and tooth in the food, calling them false and malicious. Furthermore, it denies reports of delayed food distribution and refusal to provide a microwave oven, noting the existence of a microwave in the communal kitchen.

Regarding shower facilities, the Prisons Department stated that there are enough showers in the new building of the women's wing, and damages are repaired immediately. The Pompidou Group, which visited the women's wing, did not record any complaints from the inmates.

The Prisons Department is subject to supervisory control by the Commissioner for Administration and Human Rights and the Prisons Council, and no complaints have been reported by representatives of foreign embassies.
