Actress Areti Paschali was slightly injured during a rally in Syntagma Square commemorating the Tempi train tragedy. According to her social media post, a tear gas canister landed near her foot.

Paschali described the incident on her personal Instagram account, stating that she felt a burning sensation on her foot while she was near the police and filming with her mobile phone. Her husband, Nikorestis Chaniotakis, reposted the story.

Rallies and marches took place in many cities in Greece and abroad, marking the three-year anniversary of the Tempi accident. Clashes between protesters and police forces occurred in Athens and Thessaloniki.

This year's anniversary is particularly important as it precedes the start of the trial for the tragedy, which is scheduled for March 23, 2026, in Larissa.
