Riz Ahmed Hospitalized During 'Rogue One' Filming

Actor Riz Ahmed revealed he was hospitalized during the filming of the Star Wars prequel, 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story', in 2016.

Speaking on the Podcrushed podcast, the 41-year-old actor described the experience as terrifying, stating that his body gave up on him. He suffered severe pain and exhaustion, resulting in hospitalization.

Ahmed, who played pilot Bodhi Rook, said the ordeal led him to deep sadness, but also to a sense of gratitude and acceptance. The experience inspired his role in 'Sound of Metal', for which he was nominated for an Oscar.

The actor emphasized that he realized everything is a gift and that we have no control over our own bodies.
