Zacharaki: Renovation of 220 Schools with the "Marietta Giannakou" Program

The Minister of Education, Sofia Zacharaki, announced the renovation of 220 schools during the summer through the "Marietta Giannakou" program, in statements on Antenna television.

Ms. Zacharaki emphasized that extensive inspections and interventions are underway in school buildings, in collaboration with municipalities and competent ministries, to ensure safe conditions for students and teachers. She also mentioned that in 2025, interventions were implemented in more than 430 schools.

The minister referred to the Digital Tutoring Center, which offers free support to students in preparation for the Panhellenic Examinations. Live revision lessons will begin after Easter. Furthermore, she referred to the applications of foreign universities, noting that the evaluation and certification of the programs by ETHEAE is expected.

"I believe that Greece can emerge as an important hub for education," Sofia Zacharaki emphasized.
