Drousiotis Case: Update to the Council of Ministers

The issue of Makarios Drousiotis' allegations will be brought before the Council of Ministers today at 11:30. The Minister of Justice, Kostas Fytiris, will inform the members of the government about the results of the police investigation so far and the next steps.
In a post last night, Mr. Drousiotis requested the appointment of independent criminal investigators by the Council of Ministers, calling it an imperative necessity. He claimed that he had submitted a 34-page statement with 137 pieces of evidence to the police, revealing cases of corruption, financial crime and suspicions of other criminal offenses, including references to relationships between people in positions of power and the underworld.
