Christidis Criticizes Labor Market and Purchasing Power

Pavlos Christidis, head of the Labour Sector of PASOK-KINAL, criticized Minister of State Akis Skertsos regarding labor issues. Christidis questioned Skertsos' claims of improvement in the Greek labor market, arguing that the reality experienced by citizens is different.
According to Christidis, the purchasing power of Greek workers remains among the lowest in Europe, despite working the most hours. He also referred to data from OSETEE, according to which 132 workers lost their lives in the first seven months of 2025, an increased number compared to 2023.
Christidis stressed the need for legislative protection of health and safety at work, strengthening control mechanisms and releasing collective bargaining.
