Hatzidakis: Triple Intervention to Combat Bureaucracy

The Deputy Prime Minister, Kostis Hatzidakis, announced three initiatives to facilitate citizens and businesses in their transactions with the public sector. The announcements were made during an event of the Ilia Chamber in Pyrgos.
The initiatives include:
- A bill to address 14 'stories of everyday madness'.
- The simplification or abolition of over 4,000 procedures through the digital platform MITOS, using artificial intelligence.
- Reducing the administrative burden for businesses by simplifying operating and licensing procedures, with a relevant bill from the Ministry of Development expected in Parliament.
Mr. Hatzidakis also referred to local issues in Ilia, such as the maturation of the Pyrgos - Kalo Nero – Tsakona axis, the utilization of ETAD's real estate in Kaiafas, the tender for the port of Katakolo, upgrades to the hospitals of Pyrgos and Amaliada, the restoration of the Temple of Epicurean Apollo, and urban regeneration projects.
Special mention was made of the new Patras - Pyrgos road axis, which is now a reality and contributes to the development of the region.
Regarding waste management, Mr. Hatzidakis emphasized the importance of the Public-Private Partnership for the integrated waste management in Ilia.
Additionally, he referred to the importance of the agricultural sector for Ilia and the programs for young farmers and greenhouses.
The government's planning for 2026 includes further tax cuts, acceleration of the administration of justice, the establishment of special spatial plans, and the strengthening of the extroversion of small and medium-sized enterprises.
