H. Doukas: Unity and Dialogue at PASOK Congress

The Mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas, speaking at the Central Organizing Committee of the Congress, emphasized the need for unity and dialogue at the upcoming PASOK congress. He expressed concern that the process could prove to be a 'sterile count' and submitted three proposals.
Mr. Doukas stressed that he will fight on the front lines with the aim of first place in the elections and political change. He also criticized the government and stressed that PASOK must have clear positions.
Mr. Doukas's three proposals are:
- That PASOK will not co-govern with ND after the elections, regardless of the outcome.
- To clash with ND with modern political discourse and clear positions, such as on the issue of water and the reduction of working hours.
- Initiatives for programmatic dialogue with other progressive parties, without exclusions.
Mr. Doukas stressed that the autonomous descent in the elections is a given and called on members to face stagnation and seek new paths.
