Volt: Corruption and Incompetence Behind Vasiliko Delays

Volt accuses of "corruption and political incompetence" behind the delays at the LNG terminal in Vasiliko. According to a statement, the scandal is "proof of a coordinated state of corruption, opacity, mismanagement and outright political incompetence."
Volt adds that it is the culmination of a decade of "strange" energy decisions, costing hundreds of millions. Andromachi Sofokleous, co-chair of Volt, stated that "the government of Nikos Christodoulides is clearly unable to manage what it received." Natasa Ioannou, coordinator of the Energy and Trade Committee of Volt, said that "everything was done with full knowledge and responsibility of those in charge."
The energy investment remains stagnant, with the floating unit in Malaysia without certification and work progress at 40-45%.
