Vasilis Kikilias Meets with Mike Johnson in the USA

The Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Vasilis Kikilias, met with Mike Johnson, Speaker of the US House of Representatives, in Washington. The meeting took place on the sidelines of a reception in honor of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

Mr. Kikilias also held talks with US Secretary of the Interior, Doug Burgum, regarding the production and distribution of liquefied natural gas (LNG), as well as with Josh Volz, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Energy of the USA, on strategic investment collaborations in the fields of shipping and energy.

In addition, he met with officials from the Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR) and Senator Jerry Moran, with the aim of strengthening Greek-American cooperation in shipping.
