V. Spanakis: Funding Secured for 61 Flood Control Projects in Attica

The Deputy Minister of Interior, Vasilis Spanakis, announced the securing of funding for 61 flood control projects in Attica, with a total budget of 508 million euros. The funding comes from the Ministry of Interior and European funding instruments.

Speaking in Parliament, Mr. Spanakis referred to the Sectoral Development Program (T.P.A.) of the Ministry of Interior and the Operational Program “Special Program for Natural Disasters”, which include projects of the Attica Region with a total budget of 24.2 million euros for the years 2021-2025.

In addition, from the Central Autonomous Resources (K.A.P.) of 2025, an amount of 7.36 million euros was allocated to the Attica Region to cover investment expenses and road network improvement. The Special Management and Implementation Service of the Ministry of Interior has funded flood protection projects in the Municipalities of Spata-Artemida, Fyli, Chalandri, Korydallos, Moschato-Tavros, Marousi and Filothei - Psychiko, with a total budget of approximately 22 million euros.
