V. Palmas: Positive Prospects for the Defense Industry

Defense Minister Vasilis Palmas described the prospects for the Cypriot defense industry as excellent.

Following a meeting, he mentioned the coordination of actions to address the challenges posed by the Safe regulation, aiming to further boost the Cypriot defense industry.

He emphasized that the Republic of Cyprus is given the opportunity to strengthen its defense capabilities through Cypriot companies, while at the same time developing an industry that can contribute to the Gross Domestic Product.

Mr. Palmas stated that there are approximately thirty industries involved in defense matters, with many innovative companies cooperating in European programs.

Regarding the investigation into the theft of explosives from a National Guard field, he stated that there would be a statement on the matter in the coming days.
