Ankara has announced the construction of sea traffic monitoring stations in the occupied territories, according to Turkish Cypriot media. According to "Özgür Gazete", Turkish Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu stated that within the framework of the "Eastern Mediterranean Vessel Traffic Services" project, monitoring stations have already been constructed in the Karpasia region, Agios Theodoros, and Livera.

According to the report, the stations were built for Turkey's interests, and all data will be transferred to Turkey. Mr. Uraloglu noted that work continues on the installation of a central control station in occupied Famagusta. Through this center, data from Automatic Identification Systems and radars in Kantara will be integrated, allowing 24-hour monitoring of maritime traffic.
