End of an Era: 16 MPs Step Down in Cyprus

Sixteen Members of Parliament are leaving the Cypriot Parliament after many years of parliamentary service, having chosen not to seek re-election in the upcoming elections.
During the debate on the state budget, the outgoing MPs took stock of their work. Among those departing are Haris Georgiadis, Efthymios Diplaros, Onoufrios Koulla, Kyriakos Hadjiyiannis, Nikos Tornaritis and Averof Neofytou of DISY, Andreas Kaukalias, Kostas Kosta, Andros Kyprianou and Christos Christofias of AKEL, Pavlos Mylonas and Christos Orfanidis of DIKO, Marinos Sizopoulos and Ilias Myrianthous of EDEK, the Ecologists MP Charalambos Theopemptou and the independent MP Kostis Efstathiou.
The absence of some of them will be particularly felt, due to their significant contribution to decision-making.
