Tatar: Turkish Cypriots No Longer Believe in Federal Solutions

Turkish Cypriot leader, Ersin Tatar, stated that Turkish Cypriots are no longer "fooled by the fairy tale of federation." The statement was made at an event in occupied Pergamos.
Tatar claimed that the Greek Cypriot side aims to turn Turkish Cypriots into a minority and that the only acceptable solution is "two separate states on the basis of sovereign equality."
He also referred to the importance of Turkey's support. The "mayor" of occupied Pergamos, Bülent Bebek, described the Pyla-Arsos road as a "symbol of the will of the Turkish Cypriot people."
550 meters remain for the completion of the project, despite the efforts of the United Nations to prevent it.
