Contacts Continue Regarding Menogeia Accommodation Center

The Deputy Minister of Migration, Dr. Ioannidis, continues contacts with communities surrounding the 'Limnes' area in Menogeia, where projects are being constructed for international protection applicants and individuals facing repatriation.

According to the Deputy Ministry, Dr. Ioannidis met with the President of the Alaminos Community Council, Christakis Dimitriou, and other council members.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister analyzed the strategic importance of the projects, funded by the European Union, in strengthening migration policy. He emphasized the reduction of illegal arrivals and the increase in departures, as well as the strict stance against delinquent behavior by foreigners.

Dr. Ioannidis assured increased policing and cooperation with local communities for the smooth operation of the Accommodation Center and the Pre-Departure Center.

Previous meetings were held with the Presidents of the Menogeia, Kofinou, Mazotos, and Alethriko Community Councils, and others will follow.
