Christodoulides to Meet Dendias in Athens for Defence Talks

The President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, will meet with the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, tomorrow on the sidelines of the international defence industry exhibition Defea in Athens.

The meetings will focus on the actions of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the field of defence. President Christodoulides will also meet with European Commissioner for Defence, Andrius Kubilius.

President Christodoulides returned from Yerevan, Armenia, where he attended the European Political Community Summit. He had a coordinating role in the discussion on European security, which was attended by leaders from Britain, France, Italy and the President of the European Commission.

The President stressed that defending the sovereignty of the European continent ensures a peaceful future.
