Palmas-Dendias Meeting on Regional Security

Defense Minister Vasilis Palmas announced a meeting with the Greek Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, and the Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, General Dimitrios Houpis, to assess the security situation in the region, including Cyprus and the Middle East.

According to Mr. Palmas, all appropriate measures will be examined to effectively respond to any eventuality and protect citizens. The meeting comes in light of recent developments in the region.

Furthermore, two Greek frigates and a pair of F-16 fighter jets are rushing to Cyprus, following communication between the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, and the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, to strengthen the defense of the Republic of Cyprus.
