Farmers' Meeting with Mitsotakis at Maximos Mansion on Tuesday

A meeting between farmers and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will take place at 13:00 on Tuesday at the Maximos Mansion. The farmers have appointed two committees and are awaiting answers as to whether the Prime Minister will receive them all together or in two successive meetings.
During the meeting, the farmers will re-table all their demands and make it clear that their presence at the negotiating table does not imply a relaxation of mobilizations. The tractors will remain at the roadblocks, but with open roads.
"The red line is the survival of the farmers," they noted, warning of strong reactions if they are not satisfied with the meeting. The rally they had planned for the same day in Athens will not take place.
The representatives of the Nikaia bloc at the meeting are Rizos Maroudas, Sokratis Aleiftiras, and Iordanis Ioannidis. The Trikala bloc will be represented by Pavlos Spyropoulos.
In case of unsatisfactory results, the farmers warn of an escalation of mobilizations, including a descent with tractors to Athens.
