Stratinaki: Labor Ministers Held Responsibility for Funds

Former Secretary-General of the Ministry of Labor, Anna Stratinaki, in her response regarding issues concerning funds of the Ministry of Labor and the Panagopoulos case, shifts the responsibility to the respective Ministers of Labor.
In her statement, Ms. Stratinaki emphasizes that the exclusive responsibility for the final decisions and the signing of related acts rested with the respective Ministers of Labor. She clarifies that she had an advisory role during the period 2019-2021, while from December 2021 onwards, she had no institutional involvement with the subject of training.
Ms. Stratinaki referred to her workload, saying that she "did the work of two Ministers," while denying any involvement in irregular procedures, speaking of "slanderous targeting."
In her announcement, Ms. Stratinaki states that from December 2021, a new General Secretariat was established in the Ministry of Labor specifically for the management of national and European funds, in which another person was appointed as Secretary-General. She also notes that the procedures for training programs are determined by a strict national and European regulatory framework and are controlled by the Ministry of Finance and the Court of Auditors.
