Stefanou: Clash with Israeli Ambassador over Criticism

A dispute has erupted between the General Secretary of AKEL, Stefanos Stefanou, and the Israeli Ambassador to Cyprus, Oren Anolik, regarding statements about anti-Semitic rhetoric.
Mr. Anolik accused Mr. Stefanou of targeting the Jewish community, while Mr. Stefanou rejected the allegations, arguing that Israel does not tolerate criticism.
Mr. Stefanou mentioned that neither the UN Secretary-General, nor Josep Borrell, nor the BBC tolerated Israel's policies.
He also referred to the purchase of land by citizens of third countries in Cyprus, including Israelis, Chinese, and Russians.
Mr. Anolik, through a post, spoke of a “disinformation campaign” regarding his statements on anti-Semitic rhetoric.
