Provocative T/C plays Ottoman march at checkpoint

A provocative video of a T/C mocking the authorities of the Republic of Cyprus has gone viral. The T/C Yiğit Küçük posted a video in which he is heard playing the Ottoman march «Mehter Marşı» at full volume while passing through a checkpoint towards the free areas. In the caption he wrote: "I'm making a Greek Cypriot border guard working in 40 degrees Celsius listen to the Mehter Anthem."

Mehter Marşı is a war march of the Ottoman military band Mehter, one of the oldest military bands in the world. The song being played is “Ceddin Deden”.
