PASYKI: Not Opposed to University Education, but Concerned

The Pancyprian Union of Government Doctors (PASYKI) issued a statement regarding the Minister of Health's statements on the University Clinics bill, denying that it opposes university education, research, or excellence.
PASYKI emphasizes that the future of public hospitals should not be a field for political experimentation or hasty legislation. It also expresses concern about the way the Minister of Health referred to trade unions.
The union recalls that the State promoted the administrative and financial autonomy of public hospitals through OKYPY, despite PASYKI's reservations. It believes that the proposed bill risks further undermining public hospitals.
