PASYDY Condemns Threats Against Customs Officials

PASYDY has condemned the reactions and threats against customs officials, emphasizing that the staff of the Department of Customs performs a difficult and crucial task at the entry and transit points of the Republic of Cyprus.

The Branch noted that the officials are responsible for the correct application of the legislation and that the threats will not deter them. Such actions were described as unacceptable and reprehensible.

PASYDY called on staff to continue their work unhindered and expects the state to support colleagues and resolve the long-standing problems of the Department.
