PASOK: Criticism for lack of prevention in Keratea and Ilia fires

PASOK-KINAL sharply criticizes the government for its handling of the fires in Keratea and Ilia, emphasizing the lack of prevention. In a joint statement, Argolida MP Andreas Poulas and Michalis Chalaris stressed that the fire is only addressed when it reaches the citizens' yards.

PASOK-KINAL officials highlight the need for timely cleanups, the creation of fire zones and modern operational tools, such as satellite monitoring and artificial intelligence. They also ask the government about the existence of a comprehensive evacuation plan and care for the elderly and people with disabilities.

PASOK-KINAL stresses the need to reform the 112 system and strengthen Local Government, warning that the climate crisis does not forgive inaction and requires serious and systematic preparation.
