There was a quick development in the case of Odysseas Michaelides, with journalists testifying and the Legal Service making decisions. An announcement was issued on Thursday.

Regarding the "black van," questions were raised since September 2021 about a business relationship of a relative of the Assistant Attorney General, Savvas Angelides, with a person under investigation. Mr. Angelides responded months later.

Explanations were expected for the suspension of prosecution in the Al Jazeera video case, but were not given. Better guidance from the Legal Service would be desirable.
