New Recruits Sworn into Service in Cyprus

New recruits of the 2025 ESSO were sworn into service in ceremonies held across Cyprus. The Minister of Defence, Vasilis Palmas, emphasized the importance of the safety of the new recruits, assuring that it is the Ministry's top priority.
At the swearing-in ceremony, which took place at the "Tassos Papadopoulos - Eleftheria" Stadium, Mr. Palmas stated that human resources are the most valuable asset and that efforts are being made to provide maximum safety and better living conditions.
The Chief of the National Guard General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Tsitsikostas, in his daily order during the swearing-in ceremony at the Kissonerga camp, stressed the need for vigilance due to Turkish provocations and the presence of the occupying army.
The Chief of the National Guard called on the national guards of the 2025 ESSO to show seriousness, consistency, and a spirit of cooperation, emphasizing that military service is a foundation for their lives.
