Dora Bakoyannis: Reveals experience from her pregnancy

Dora Bakoyannis shared a personal experience from the time she was pregnant with her first child, at an event for Women's Day.

The politician described a conversation she had in a maternity hospital, where she was asked about her marital status and the child's paternity. "They asked me when I got married. When I replied that I was not married, they asked me whose child it was. I replied 'father unknown' and thought, 'What do you suggest now? Swallow it?'", she said.

Bakoyannis emphasized that such perceptions reflect the inequality that women faced and continue to face. She also shared an experience from politics, when an elderly man in Evrytania initially treated her with prejudice, but later changed his mind and voted for her.
