Christodoulides' Address: Talks for Defense Aid

In a new address, the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, announced that the Republic of Cyprus is in advanced consultations with other countries regarding the dispatch of aid to strengthen the country's defense.

The President announced that announcements on the matter would be made soon. At the same time, he advised caution regarding fake news and announced the activation of a new SMS system to notify citizens in case of emergency, which will operate on a trial basis.

Mr. Christodoulides assured that Cyprus is not participating in any military operation and remains committed to its humanitarian role. He also thanked Greece and France for the immediate assistance they provided.
