N. Christodoulides: Respect for Ukraine's Sovereignty

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, stressed the need for full respect for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine during teleconferences with European leaders.

President Christodoulides highlighted Cyprus' historical experience, which has been experiencing the consequences of the Turkish occupation for 51 years, emphasizing the need to defend these principles without exceptions.

He assured that the Republic of Cyprus will continue to support Ukraine in its struggle for freedom and restoration of its territorial integrity. He also stressed that Cyprus links its own experience with the European struggle against any policy of occupation.
