The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, stated that no strike will stop the Government's effort for reforms, emphasizing the need for teacher evaluation.

In statements during his visit to RIK, President Christodoulides mentioned that consultations and dialogue on the issue have already taken place, even with his presence. He pointed out that the essence of the Government's proposal for teacher evaluation cannot be changed.

"The right to strike is fully respected, but the message I want to send is that no strike will stop the Government's great effort for reforms in all areas," he stated.

President Christodoulides added that reforms will continue in all sectors, including the Legal Service, the Audit Service, educational reform, and disability issues, with the aim of modernizing the state.

Asked about the possibility of withdrawing the bill if the Parliament changes its essence, the President answered affirmatively, emphasizing that the Government cannot act alone, as Cyprus is an EU member state.
