Nikos Karanikas: Criticism of the Left and Responses Regarding ND

Nikos Karanikas responded to criticism and claims regarding his relationship with New Democracy (ND) and Adonis Georgiadis. In his post, the former associate of Alexis Tsipras criticized the opposition and the Left.

Nikos Karanikas stated characteristically: "I neither went to ND, nor am I paid by Adonis," denying related claims. At the same time, he described PASOK as unreliable and the Left as decaying.

According to Mr. Karanikas, the opposition has failed to present a credible alternative proposal, with the result that Kyriakos Mitsotakis is considered the best option.

Referring to the period of the SYRIZA government, N. Karanikas argued that he worked based on his knowledge and abilities and not through party interventions. He also expressed his opposition to the ND's policy of "economizing all public goods and services."

Finally, Mr. Karanikas stressed the need for a credible opposition with better proposals and a way of practicing politics, while criticizing the existing opposition for copying the tactics of ND during the period of the SYRIZA government.
