Government Spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis stated that the government has prioritized addressing the pathologies within OPEKEPE by transitioning the organization to the IAPR (Independent Authority for Public Revenue).

Mr. Marinakis emphasized the government's support for lifting parliamentary immunity, presenting data on relevant decisions since 2019. Specifically, 97 requests for lifting immunity have been accepted, with 20 active ND (New Democracy) MPs currently under immunity removal status.

Regarding the OPEKEPE case file, Mr. Marinakis mentioned that the government awaits its submission to Parliament to review the details. He also highlighted that the reform involving OPEKEPE's transition to the IAPR aims to prevent illegal interventions.

Concerning the Tempi train accident, Mr. Marinakis stated there are no issues with Mr. Floridis and that the second trial session was better organized. He accused a small minority, led by Ms. Konstantopoulou, of attempting to create tension and obstruct the trial.
