Maria Karystianou, speaking to Down Town magazine, referred to the preparation of the new party and the Tempi accident, which she described as "state murder."

She believes that she has become identified with the "struggle of a citizen against corruption", as, she claims, the public sees in her not only a mother who lost her child, but also a fighter against the deep state. "I believe that society has connected with the event itself," she stated characteristically.

Regarding the new party, Ms. Karystianou did not rule out the possibility of leading it, emphasizing that "the leader comes from the people." She added that she will respect the opinion of the majority and that the process of selecting the leader will be done through democratic procedures.

Asked about the timeline for the party's establishment, Ms. Karystianou replied that this will happen "whenever the program of positions is complete."

Referring to the other relatives of the victims, Ms. Karystianou stated that "society has connected with the event itself," differentiating herself from them.

Finally, she spoke about her relationship with God, saying that "I am very sorry that this event had to happen to me in order to know the power that God gives."
