M. Mousiouttas in Brussels for EPSCO Council

The Minister of Labour and Social Insurance, Marinos Mousiouttas, is in Brussels to chair the Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council (EPSCO) of the European Union (EU).
According to an announcement, the Council will examine the 2026 European Semester and the adoption of the new Recommendation on Human Capital in the EU, aimed at identifying skills shortages and coordinating training policies.
The Cypriot Presidency will also provide information on the preliminary agreement regarding the revision of the Regulation on the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund, so that assistance is paid promptly to workers threatened with redundancy.
The Ministers will also discuss the topic "From Innovation to Quality Jobs: Using AI to strengthen quality employment and workers’ rights", with the participation of Roxana Mînzatu and Professor Christoforos Pissarides.
