AKEL MP, Giorgos Loukaidis, during his speech on the state budget, referred to "deals" and a lack of criticism towards the Christodoulides Government.

Mr. Loukaidis stressed that we should not play with the economy, but mainly we should not mock society, accusing some of attempting to mislead and conceal their true policies.

Referring to the budget, Mr. Loukaidis said that "for reasons of expediency, we are not honest with ourselves", recalling that in the past DISY voted against the budget.

He also accused the government of "easily writing off 217 million per year for the special defense contribution on dividends from 17% to 5%", benefiting large business profits.

Finally, he referred to the Cyprus issue, wishing for developments that would lead to a solution and the reunification of the country.
