Livanios: Public Sector Hiring Plan Approved on September 30

The Minister of Interior, Theodoros Livanios, announced that the public sector hiring plan will be approved by the Cabinet on September 30.

The approvals will concern hirings in health, education, security forces, military schools, and local government. Mr. Livanios emphasized that hirings through ASEP will be faster, citing as an example the YE competition, where the provisional results were released on August 13 and the objections were completed on August 25.

He also referred to the new Code of Local Government, noting that it is under legislative and technical processing and aims to simplify procedures, especially in the area of financial operation.

In addition, he noted that psychometric tests and athletic tests have already been conducted for the municipal police, while solutions are being examined to address problems in the restoration of internal road construction and for kindergartens.
