Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letybiotis has denied claims of retaliatory checks at checkpoints, stressing that there is no change in the crossing procedure. Speaking on "Morning Route," he said that the systems have been upgraded and crossings continue normally for those with Republic documents.

Mr. Letybiotis added that the necessary checks are being carried out for public safety reasons, rejecting claims that the Government is acting vindictively due to the illegal detention of the five Greek Cypriots by the occupying regime.

Regarding the visit of the Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General to Cyprus, he said that Mrs. Olguin will have contacts with the two leaders on Monday, before their joint meeting with Antonio Guterres in September.

Regarding the 1,200 tons of humanitarian aid through the "Amalthea" plan, the Spokesman said that they are in the port of "Ashdod" and their transfer to a specific area of Gaza is expected.

Finally, he mentioned that the findings of the American experts on the fire in mountainous Limassol will be released soon.
