Cyprus Issue: Olguín's Tour to London, Brussels & National Council Meeting

The upcoming informal five-party conference in July brings the Cyprus issue back to the forefront. The UN Secretary-General's personal envoy, María Ángela Holguín, will visit London on July 1st and Brussels on July 2nd.

In London, she will meet with Stephen Doughty, Foreign Minister for Europe-North America. In Brussels, she is expected to meet with António Costa, President of the European Council, and Johannes Hahn, European Commission envoy.

The National Council will convene on Thursday, July 3, 2025. President Christodoulides will brief political forces on developments and preparations for the July meeting.
