Cyprus: Informal Multilateral Meeting in New York Mid-July

The second informal multilateral meeting on Cyprus will take place in mid-July in New York. The dates have been finalized, and an official announcement is expected from the United Nations.
The format of the meeting will be similar to that of Geneva, with an informal dinner on the first evening and expanded talks the following day.
President Christodoulides stated that the informal meeting will take place immediately after the first half of July, referring to the United Nations for official announcements.
The meeting coincides with the anniversary of the July 15th Coup and the Turkish Invasion of July 20th.
President Christodoulides emphasized the importance of the contacts that MarĂa Ăngela HolguĂn will have in London and Brussels, as well as her upcoming visit to Cyprus.
He acknowledged that the election campaign in the occupied territories is a deterrent factor, while avoiding commenting on the statements of Ersin Tatar.
Regarding the possible participation of Johannes Hahn in the New York meeting, President Christodoulides stated that developments are awaited.
